How do I get started?

Please create an account by clicking here. The app will guide you through the process step by step.

What information do I need to sign-up?

You will need an email ID and phone number from your country of residence. The email will be verified and used for sharing critical information such as document decryption passwords, etc. We suggest you use your official email ID so that in the future we may be able to migrate your account to a corporate one.

The phone number you provide will be used by our contact center as your unique identifier, so please try to call us from the same number when you contact us.

How do I post a translation assignment?

Once you have created an account you can post a new assignment in two ways:

  1. Upload the document through your app.
  2. Email the document from your registered email ID and it will show up in your app dashboard. You can then add details of assignment such as translation language, context, etc.

What about confidentiality?

We have taken three specific measures to ensure that your documents stay confidential:

  1. Soon as you upload or email us a document, its gets automatically encrypted.
  2. Your selected translator is able to download the encrypted file only after he signs a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
  3. He is then provided a decryption password via email to doubly secure confidentiality of your document.

Similarly, when you receive the completed document, it is encrypted and a decryption password is shared with you via your registered email.

How does this “quick-bidding” system work?

What is a “quick-bid”?

To assist you in starting your assignment quickly, Arabeasy encourages translators to respond to bids immediately after you post an assignment. Translators get live notifications to enable these “quick bids”.

What if I don’t get any “quick-bids”?

If you don’t get quick bids within one hour, your assignment still stays active for bidding and a larger number of translators are sent your assignment post. At the backend, we start contacting translators to ensure you get a bid.

It may sometimes happen that due to high volumes of work the completion times are longer than you may desire. Please know that we are tirelessly working to enroll more translators onto our network without compromising quality.

How do I pick the right translator for my assignment?

What do the ratings mean?

When we onboard translators, we gather information about their qualifications, work experience and in some cases even provide a small assignment to assess their quality. This evaluation is used to establish their initial rating.

Thereafter, clients evaluate translators upon completion of assignments. Translator ratings displayed to you are the average of their 10 most recently completed assignments.

Arabeasy suggests that you expect the following from various rating bands:

3 star and below: This is a cost-effective way to understand the contents of a document. We recommend that you use this quality level for internal documents only
3 – 4 star rated: This is a cost-effective solution. We recommend this solution if you have some time to work with the translator. Clients have reported great outcomes when they have kept in touch with the translator, reviewed samples over the app chat functionality, and provided guidance on the go
4 star and above: These are some of the best translators in the region. Clients who provide sufficient upfront context have reported high quality outcomes in the first iteration

Can I work with a translator I used in the past?

Not a specific translator. However, once you have worked with a translator, you can mark them as favorite. Bids from these translators will be highlighted on your future assignments.

How do I ensure good quality and timely outcome?

Once you have selected a bid, you will be able to engage directly with the translator using the chat feature built into the app. We encourage you to:

  1. Request the translator to provide you a sample of the translation quality. (This has proved to be the best predictor of the quality you should expect.)
  2. Stay in touch with the translator and get periodic progress updates. (This prevents any last-minute surprises and ensures timely output.)

What if I am not happy with the translator I selected?

If for some reason, you are not happy with the translator, or need to cancel your assignment please call us and our operations team will assist you with any of the following requests:

  • Change the document in case you uploaded an incorrect one. You would need to pay for any difference in translation fee.
  • Upgrade to a better rated translator.
  • Cancel the assignment midway and request for a partial refund.

Our team will do its best to resolve your concerns and make sure that you are satisfied with the outcome, while ensuring that the arrangement is fair to the translators as well.

What if the translator is unresponsive?

Arabeasy encourages Translators to be responsive and professional. However sometimes due to unavoidable circumstances if a translator is unresponsive, please call the Arabeasy contact center immediately and our team will reach out to the translator on your behalf. If that doesn’t work, the team will help you reassign your assignment to another translator.

What do I do if I don’t like the quality of the output?

Once the translator has completed the translation and uploaded the document you will have seven days to review, provide feedback, and request for revisions from the translator. During this period, you can continue to chat with the translator using the in-built chat feature in the app. We request you to call us, in case you want to request:

  • Extension of the seven-day period to review, revise and approve the translated document
  • Raise a concern if the quality of a four star and above translator is not good

How does payment work?

How do I pay?

The app uses PayPal to process your payments. You will be able to pay using all the forms of were payment accepted but PayPal in your country.

How does Arabeasy make money?

Arabeasy charges a markup on the translator fee. This markup covers the technology and operating costs, and payment processing costs.

When does the translator get the money?

Payment is transferred to the translator at the end of the month when an assignment is approved by you.

What happens if I don’t approve the assignment?

From the submission of competed translated document or the submission deadline, whichever comes later, you will have seven days to review, provide feedback, request revisions and approve the competed assignment. If you do not approve within this period all request an extension, the assignment will be auto approved.

How will my refund be processed?

Once a concern has been resolved and an agreement reached, your refund will be processed. The processing time will depend on PayPal’s terms of use within your country.

In certain cases we may need to process your refund through a direct bank transfer. In these situations, we will send you a form to get your account details on your registered email ID.

My app stopped working. What do I do?

Please call the contact center immediately and they will help resolve the issue.
